What Car Modifications do you have to declare?
Any modifications that are fitted to the vehicle since it was manufactured/first registered need to be declared.
What happens if I don't tell my insurance provider about modifications?
If you don’t declare any modifications to your vehicle, then it is likely that your insurance policy will be invalid. We recommend that if you make any changes to your vehicle, that you contact your insurer to let them know. Failure to do so, could result in the driver being liable for all third party damage costs in the event of an accident and possibly a conviction for driving without insurance.

Repair - If the car can be repaired, any parts which are covered under the policy will be replaced on a like-for-like basis.
Total Loss - In the event of a total loss, the current market value of the car will be calculated and an offer made to the owner.
