Greenlight Insurance were founded by our current senior partner who has always had a keen interest in modified vehicles, he was involved with modified vehicles from an early age and has been an active member of several owners clubs over the years.

When attending owners club events and possessing both technical vehicle along with Insurance knowledge it soon became apparent that there was a need for an Insurance service that was connected to, understood and spoke the language of the enthusiast – thus Greenlight Insurance was born.

The partners and most of our staff here at Greenlight Insurance have owned and driven specialist vehicles for most of their driving lives, are involved with and support various owners clubs.

We are Insurance experts but ultimately we are vehicle enthusiasts at heart.

Most Insurers prefer to cover vehicles by volume and are not keen to manually scrutinize risks on an individual basis, this restricts the available Insurer markets.

A high level of technical expertise and understanding as to the impact of modifications to a vehicle is also required. In event of a total loss claim all modified vehicles will be assessed by a qualified motor engineer who will take the impact of your modifications upon the market value of your vehicle into account when calculating the value of your vehicle and advising your Insurer how much to indemnify you for the loss of your vehicle.
